This page refers to what was formerly the Greek Orthodox Diocese of Toronto.

The Greek Orthodox Diocese of Toronto was elevated to the dignity of a metropolis by the Patriarchate of Constantinople and placed into a direct relationship with the patriarch.

It was then called the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Toronto (Canada).

In 2019, the Patriarchate of Constantinople elevated the metropolis to the status of an archdiocese, and the metropolitan became an archbishop. This new status was similar to that of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North America and to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Great Britain.

The diocese became known as the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada and All the Arctic, or, simply, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada.
